Our mission is to create programming that’s geared towards mental health and healthy relationships.
Our goal is to provide research-based therapeutic tools within the body of entertainment, to help viewers develop coping skills to navigate through their daily challenges.
Our hope is that our content will get people talking about their issues, versus struggling alone – the very principle that makes 12 step fellowships so successful. 1 in 4 Canadians is struggling and 75% can’t talk about it.
This is especially critical for those who can’t access or afford therapy, at a time when there’s a great need for it. We’re currently in the middle of a global mental health crisis. As such, the numbers are consistently rising for people struggling with mental health and relational issues, with limited resources, particularly since the pandemic. More than one in four Canadians report their mental health symptoms affect their daily functioning.
Workplace disability leave for mental illness costs are roughly double those for physical illness. The overall economic cost of mental illness in Canada is over $50 billion per year. It’s high time we normalize conversations around mental health and provide people with healthy coping skills vs unhealthy habits, like addictions, which only exacerbate their problems.
